Recorders

Data recorders are instruments that continuously capture and store measurements from one or more input channels over time, creating a time-stamped record of process variables, environmental conditions, or electrical signals. Supported inputs commonly include thermocouples, RTDs, voltage, current (4–20 mA), and digital I/O. Recorders range from simple single-channel strip-chart equivalents to sophisticated multi-channel USB and Ethernet-connected data acquisition loggers capable of high-speed sampling across dozens of channels simultaneously. The recorded data supports quality control, process optimization, regulatory compliance, and post-event analysis.

Portable data recorders are widely used in field applications such as equipment commissioning, environmental monitoring, and transport condition logging. Bench-top and rack-mount variants serve laboratory, manufacturing, and industrial process environments where long-term unattended recording is required.

Typical Applications

  • Multi-channel temperature recording in industrial ovens, furnaces, and cold chains
  • Waveform and transient recording in power quality and energy monitoring
  • Environmental condition logging (temperature, humidity, pressure) for validation and compliance
  • Data acquisition during product testing, burn-in, and qualification testing
  • Portable field recording during equipment commissioning and troubleshooting
