Modular DC Supplies
Modular DC power supplies are configurable, rack-mountable systems built around interchangeable power modules that install into a shared mainframe chassis. Each module delivers an independently regulated output at a defined voltage and current rating, and multiple modules can populate a single chassis to create a customized multi-channel supply precisely matched to test requirements. This architecture maximizes rack density, simplifies cabling in large ATE installations, and allows test capacity to be scaled incrementally by adding modules as program requirements grow.
Chroma's 62000 series is a prominent example, offering modules ranging from 15 V/90 A to 600 V/2.5 A within a common chassis platform. Output parameters are fully software-controlled via GPIB, USB, and LAN, enabling rapid reconfiguration between test programs.
