Overview

The Rohde & Schwarz NRP40T is a thermal power sensor designed for complex, high-accuracy measurement applications where the modulation type must not affect measurement results. Thermal sensors are especially used where highest accuracy is required. The NRP40T features exceptional linearity of 0.007 dB (0.16%) and is three times faster than comparable thermal power sensors, achieving more than 500 measurements per second in buffered mode.

The sophisticated measurement cell minimizes noise while maintaining immunity to thermal environmental effects. When power is increased, the measurement cell quickly attains stable temperature. When power is decreased, excess heat is dissipated extremely quickly, enabling rapid, accurate measurements across the full dynamic range.
