Description
Overview
The Keysight 461A is a wide-band amplifier designed for applications where frequency flatness is critical. Covering the range from 1 kHz to 150 MHz, it delivers +/-1 dB frequency response flatness and is available with selectable gain settings to accommodate diverse signal levels.
Key Features
- Frequency range 1 kHz to 150 MHz
- Frequency response +/-1 dB (1 kHz to 150 MHz into 50Ω resistive load)
- Selectable gain: 40 dB +/-0.5 dB or 20 dB +/-1.0 dB at 500 kHz (inverting operation)
- Input impedance 50Ω (nominal)
- Maximum input 1 V rms or 2 V peak-to-peak pulse
- Maximum output 0.5 V rms into 50Ω resistive load
- Wideband input noise less than 40 µV in 40 dB position (50Ω loaded)
- Distortion less than 5% at maximum output and rated load
- Overload recovery less than 1 microsecond for 10× overload
- Power supply 115 or 230 V, 48 to 440 Hz, 5 watts
Applications
- High-frequency signal amplification in test and measurement
- Applications requiring flat frequency response across wide bandwidth
- Pulse and waveform conditioning in precision instrumentation
