Overview

The Magna Power ALx Series MagnaLOAD is a linear MOSFET-based DC electronic load offering wide voltage-current operating range within its maximum power rating. The ALx Series utilizes heat management innovations developed for Magna Power's programmable DC power supplies, ensuring long product life with continuous full power operation in ambient temperatures up to 50°C.

MOSFETs are operated in the linear region to allow full power and full control over the entire VA rating of the product. Closed-loop control circuitry linearizes the response, with each MOSFET device sharing load current equally across the array.
