The Magna Power ALx Series is an air-cooled DC electronic load that utilizes linear MOSFET topology to achieve a wide voltage-current operating range. The conservative cooling design enables continuous full power operation in environments up to 50°C ambient temperature, ensuring long product life and reliability.

Technology

The ALx Series uses MOSFETs operated in the linear region for power dissipation, delivering one of the industry's widest full-power operating ranges. Control circuitry operates in a closed loop configuration to linearize the response curve. Each MOSFET device produces a load current defined by VC/Rn, with closed loop amplifiers enabling multiple MOSFET devices to share load current equally for stable operation.
