Overview

The Magna Power ALx17.5-1000-525 DC electronic load is a 17.5 kW programmable load system from the ALx Series. It employs a linear MOSFET-based dissipative topology to deliver an exceptionally wide voltage-current-power operating range. Conservative thermal design enables continuous full-power operation in ambient temperatures up to 50°C, extending product life in demanding laboratory and production test environments.

The ALx topology uses MOSFETs in the linear region to provide full power control across the entire power rating. Closed-loop control circuitry linearizes the load response, and multiple MOSFET devices share load current equally, enabling stable multi-unit parallel operation.
