Keysight 44708A Analog Signal Multiplexer

Overview

The Keysight 44708A is an analog signal multiplexer designed to switch signals from up to 20 inputs for measurement by Keysight 3852A voltmeter accessories or by external voltmeters. It provides switching capability for up to 20 inputs at scanning speeds up to 450 channels/second, handling signals up to 120 Vdc or 120 Vac RMS (170 Vpeak).

A special feature of the 44708A is an isothermal connector block on the terminal module that provides the reference junction for thermocouple measurements. A thermistor on the block measures the isothermal reference temperature, allowing the 3852A to automatically compensate for reference junction temperature in thermocouple measurements. Field wiring from user sources is connected to the terminal module, and signals are sent to the switches on the component module. Each channel can be independently configured.
