Megger BITE2P Battery Impedance Tester

Overview

The Megger BITE2P battery impedance tester determines the condition of lead-acid and nickel-cadmium cells up to 7000 Ah capacity without taking the battery system off-line. The transmitter applies a test current across the battery string while measuring total current and voltage drop to calculate impedance, along with DC voltage and interconnection resistance measurements. The BITE2P includes a built-in printer for on-site documentation.

Unlike load cycle testing, BITE2P testing requires no battery discharge and does not stress the battery. Each cell and intercell connector can be tested in less than 20 seconds, allowing one person to quickly assess battery health and record measurements directly at the site.
