Description
Overview
The Chroma 19311 is a single-channel battery cell surge tester designed for testing insulation quality between positive and negative plates in lead-acid battery cells before electrolyte injection. Applying a non-destructive high-voltage impulse, it analyzes resonant waveforms to detect defects and shorts.
Key Features
- Single-channel surge test capability (10-channel variant available as 19311-10)
- Maximum output voltage: 6 kV (depends on device capacitance)
- Pulse interval: 30ms–3000ms
- Sampling rate: 200 MHz for high-resolution waveform capture
- 8 types of judgment analysis: Area, Diff-Area, Flutter, Laplacian, V1, V3, Peak Ratio, Delta Peak
- Contact Check and Breakdown Voltage (BDV) Mode
- Graphical VGA color display (640 × 480 dots)
- Connectivity: LAN, USB, and RS232
Applications
- Lead-acid battery manufacturing and quality control
- Insulation and separator integrity testing
- Production line testing before electrolyte injection
