Overview
The Keysight N9933BU/238 Time Gating Option enables selective spectrum measurement of periodic signals by applying a time gate to isolate specific portions of the signal. Using Gated FFT processing, this option allows measurement during the active pulse period of pulsed-RF signals, excluding transition and off-periods where they would otherwise corrupt the spectrum. This is particularly useful for excluding periodic interfering signals or measuring weak spectral components that would be hidden by continuous noise.
