Overview

Keysight N5166BU/221 is a waveform licensing option for CXG X-Series signal generators equipped with Option 653 ARB baseband generator. It provides a cost-effective way to permanently license Signal Studio waveforms without purchasing full Signal Studio software.

• 5-pack licensing: store and assign up to 5 custom Signal Studio waveforms
• Each waveform has a unique ID recognized by the generator for permanent playback
• 48-hour evaluation period before locking a waveform into a slot
• Once locked, waveform parameters are fixed and cannot be modified
• Nine different 5-pack options (221-229) allow total storage of up to 45 waveforms

How It Works

1. Signal Studio waveforms are created with unique waveform IDs in their headers
2. Download the waveform into an available slot on your generator
3. You have 48 hours to decide whether to lock the waveform for permanent playback
4. During the 48-hour period, you can experiment with different waveforms in that slot
5. Lock the waveform when ready; locked waveforms cannot be replaced or have parameters modified
