Analyzer Calibration Kits
Analyzer Calibration Kits
Analyzer calibration kits contain the precision mechanical and electronic standards required to perform vector error correction on vector network analyzers (VNAs) and other RF measurement instruments. By characterizing systematic measurement errors through known reference standards — including short, open, load, and through (SOLT) elements — calibration kits allow engineers to remove instrument and cable errors from measurements, leaving only the true behavior of the device under test (DUT).
Calibration kits are available for a wide range of coaxial connector types including Type-N, SMA, 3.5 mm, 2.92 mm (K), 2.4 mm, and 1.85 mm (V), spanning frequency ranges from DC to 110 GHz and beyond. The connector type and kit grade directly determine the upper frequency limit and measurement accuracy achievable on any VNA system, making selection of the correct calibration kit a critical step in RF measurement setup.
Typical Applications
- S-parameter measurement of RF and microwave components such as filters, amplifiers, and connectors
- Antenna impedance characterization and matching network design
- Transmission line and cable characterization in telecommunications infrastructure
- Device modeling and verification in semiconductor and MMIC development
- Compliance testing for RF components in aerospace, defense, and automotive radar systems
