Overview

The Keithley 2302 is a single-channel battery simulator power supply designed for development and testing of portable, battery-operated devices such as cellular phones, cordless phones, and mobile radios. This precision DC power supply features ultrafast transient response, allowing output characteristics to match actual batteries with exceptional accuracy.

The 2302 employs a unique variable output resistance design that enables the voltage output to emulate a battery's response, including its internal resistance characteristics. This capability allows stable voltage outputs even when a device-under-test makes rapid transitions from standby (low current) to RF transmission (high current) states, making it ideal for comprehensive battery performance simulation.
