Overview

The SMC RAPTOR-C05 is a portable primary injection testing system designed for electrical equipment testing and commissioning. The master unit weighs 77 lbs (35 kg) and combines a digital amplifier, dual voltage/current test source, touch-screen control interface, and measurement capabilities in a single compact package. Variable frequency operation from 20 to 400 Hz enables testing free from network frequency noise and interference.

The system uses an innovative pass-through secondary technique with a centered hole, allowing current conductors to be driven through the unit directly. Multiple parallel cables can increase effective cross-section, and compliance voltage can be multiplied through multiple turns. For higher power requirements, the system is expandable with 5 kVA slave units (up to 18 kVA total) via infrared communication.
