Overview
The Keysight N2790A is a 100-MHz high-voltage differential probe designed for safe and accurate floating measurements on oscilloscopes. Rated to measure differential voltage up to 1,400 VDC with peak AC and common-mode voltage up to 1,000 V, it enables conventional earth-grounded Keysight oscilloscopes to be used for floating signal measurements. The probe features excellent CMRR (Common Mode Rejection Ratio) greater than 50 dB at 1 MHz and can accurately capture fast transient edges as quick as 3.5 nanoseconds, making it ideal for modern switching power supply measurements.
The N2790A integrates the AutoProbe interface, obtaining power directly from compatible Keysight oscilloscopes without requiring a separate power supply. An overrange indicator alerts the user when probe input exceeds its dynamic range. Optional extreme temperature extension kits (N7013A/N7014A) allow operation from -40°C to +85°C for environmental chamber testing.
