Overview

The Viavi E8126D is the latest 8100D-series OTDR module for the T-BERD/MTS platform family. It represents the most advanced version in the OTDR EVO lineup, delivering industry-leading 50 dB dynamic range at 1310/1550 nm wavelengths. Compared to previous generations, the 8100D offers superior sensitivity and measurement accuracy for the most demanding fiber testing applications.

The single-port design integrates light source, power meter, and OTDR. A 0.5 m event dead zone enables precise characterization of faults and events on closely spaced fiber elements. Features include automatic traffic detection, Smart Link Mapper for interpretation automation, and support for both single-mode and multimode networks including PON architectures. Suitable for commissioning, network upgrades, and complex link troubleshooting.
