Overview

The Viavi E8126B-FCOMP is an OTDR module for the T-BERD/MTS platform family, operating at 1310 and 1550 nm wavelengths. It combines integrated light source, power meter, and OTDR functionality in a single-port design for comprehensive fiber testing. FiberComplete automation delivers bidirectional OTDR, insertion loss, and optical return loss measurements. The 41–40 dB dynamic range and 0.65 m event dead zone support precise event characterization on closely spaced fiber elements.

The module includes automatic traffic detection to avoid live-signal interference, Smart Link Mapper for automatic result interpretation, and encircled-flux compliant multimode source. Optimized for single-mode and multimode networks including PON splitter testing, it is ideal for commissioning, network upgrades, and link troubleshooting.
