Overview

Viavi E8115D is a 1550 nm OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) module in the 8100-Series EVO family, designed for commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of single-mode fiber networks. The module features integrated continuous wave light source and power meter capabilities in a single-port design, with automatic traffic detection to prevent optical transmitter damage during testing. Smart Link Mapper technology eliminates OTDR interpretation errors for faster, more reliable measurements.
