The EXFO MAX-945P-SM1-XX is a single-mode optical loss test set (OLTS) for fiber certification testing. Configured for 1310/1550 nm wavelengths, it provides insertion loss (IL) and optical return loss (ORL) measurements for long-span single-mode fiber networks. It combines automated FasTesT results with comprehensive fiber inspection capabilities, enabling technicians to verify both physical cabling quality and compliance with standards such as TIA-568, IEEE, and Fibre Channel.

The MAX-945 features a large 7-inch high-resolution touchscreen, built-in Encircled-Flux (EF) compliant light sources, 12 hours of battery autonomy, and cloud connectivity via WiFi and Bluetooth. Its fully automated testing procedures and reference assistant eliminate common field errors including cord referencing mistakes and negative loss measurements.
