Overview

The AEMC 5050 is a modern digital/analog megohmmeter designed as a 5000V insulation tester. It automatically calculates Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR), Polarization Index (PI), and Dielectric Discharge (DD) values. The instrument displays test voltage, insulation resistance, and leakage current during measurements, and shows capacitance and discharge voltage at test completion. Built with comprehensive safety features, it operates from an internal rechargeable battery or AC line power.
