Hydraulic Pressure Calibrators
Hydraulic Pressure Calibrators
Hydraulic pressure calibrators are specialized instruments that use hydraulic fluid as the pressure medium to generate, control, and measure high-pressure references for calibrating gauges, transducers, and transmitters. Unlike pneumatic calibrators, hydraulic systems achieve much higher pressures — typically from tens of bar to 1,000 bar or more — making them indispensable in heavy industry, oil & gas, and hydraulic systems testing where such pressures are routinely encountered.
These calibrators are available as manual pump units, semi-automated systems, or fully automated instruments capable of self-generating and precisely controlling pressure to programmed setpoints. Automated hydraulic calibrators significantly reduce calibration cycle time by eliminating manual pumping and automatically stepping through calibration points, delivering high throughput in service facilities and accredited calibration laboratories.
Typical Applications
- Calibrating high-pressure gauges and transducers in hydraulic test rigs and industrial machinery
- Verification of wellhead and subsea pressure instruments in oil & gas exploration and production
- Testing high-pressure safety valves and burst discs in power generation and process industries
- Calibration of pressure instruments used in aerospace hydraulic systems
- Acceptance testing of pressure measurement devices in pump and compressor manufacturing
