Overview

The Associated Research 8257 is a comprehensive electrical safety compliance analyzer from the OMNIA II series, designed for complete electrical safety validation in manufacturing. The 8257 integrates a full range of safety testing functions with a built-in 500 VA AC power source, eliminating the need for external power conditioning equipment and reducing setup complexity.

The 8257 provides AC hipot testing up to 5 kV at 100 mA, DC hipot up to 6 kV, leakage current measurement, insulation resistance testing, 40 amp ground bond verification, and functional run capability. The integrated AC power source can supply 0–277V AC at up to 4.2A with adjustable frequency from 45–500 Hz, enabling comprehensive device validation in a single instrument.
