Overview

The Megger DET2/3 is a robust and compact automatic ground test instrument designed to measure ground electrode resistance and soil resistivity. It excels at the four-terminal method of measurement, which eliminates the resistance of the current circuit from the measurement. The instrument is ideal for large or complex ground systems, including communications ground systems and difficult test environments.

The DET2/3 can be used to test in accordance with BS 7430 (earthing/grounding), BS-EN-62305 (lightning protection), IEEE Standard 81, and railway applications. Soil resistivity measurements help establish optimum electrode design and site location, as well as support archaeological and geological investigations. The unit features a dual-case design with a tough outer case for protection and an inner fire-retardant case.
