General Pressure Calibrators

General pressure calibrators are versatile instruments for calibrating and verifying a wide variety of pressure measurement devices — including gauges, transmitters, switches, and transducers — in both field and laboratory environments. Unlike highly specialized units designed for specific pressure ranges or media, general-purpose calibrators accommodate multiple pressure types (gauge, absolute, and differential) and are compatible with pneumatic and liquid pressure media, making them suitable for a broad range of industrial calibration tasks.

These instruments are widely used by calibration technicians and instrument engineers in process industries, utilities, and manufacturing plants. Many models feature onboard reference sensors, integrated pressure pumps, HART and 4–20 mA loop capability, and data logging for generating calibration records on the spot, reducing the need to transport equipment back to the laboratory.

Typical Applications

  • Multi-range pressure gauge calibration in process plants and utilities
  • Field calibration of pressure transmitters in oil & gas, chemical, and water treatment facilities
  • Testing pressure switches and safety devices in HVAC and building automation systems
  • Laboratory bench verification of process instruments against primary pressure standards
  • Portable calibration for maintenance and inspection programs in manufacturing
