Overview

The Viavi MAP-280 is an 8-slot optical test and measurement mainframe optimized for cost-effective development and manufacturing of optical transmission network elements. Part of the scalable MAP-200 series, it provides the broadest portfolio of modules in the densest platform and is suitable for both lab and manufacturing environments ranging from insertion loss testing to dispersion penalty testing.

The MAP-280 is 3 RU high and available in 19-inch rack configuration oriented as either front- or rear-facing for optimal fiber routing. It includes hardware for benchtop use with rubber feet for optimal stability and vibration isolation. Users can share modules within a mainframe to maximize cost efficiency, and all components are field-replaceable for easy maintenance.
