Overview

The Fluke 9173 is a high-performance calibration tool designed for thermometers operating between 50°C and 700°C. With an immersion depth of 203 mm (8 in), it is particularly suitable for calibrating thermometers at high temperatures. The display accuracy of ±0.25°C at 700°C, combined with excellent stability and uniformity performance, dramatically reduces uncertainty budgets for high-temperature calibrations.

The Model 9173 minimizes temperature gradients, loading effects, and hysteresis, making calibration measurements more meaningful. It uses traceable, accredited PRTs (Platinum Resistance Thermometers) and Fluke's proprietary electronics for consistent, repeatable accuracy. The LCD display continuously shows block temperature, stability status, heating/cooling status, and current set-point. The unit is compatible with Fluke's Model 9938 MET/TEMP II software for fully automated calibrations of RTDs, thermocouples, and thermistors.
