The Starrett 653J is a bench-type dial comparator stand featuring a cast iron base with a 655-141J dial indicator included. Designed for in-process and final inspection work, the stand provides a sturdy foundation for measurements. The dial indicator can be adjusted vertically and locked in any position. A sliding ring with locking screw below the beam permits swinging the indicator to either side for improved accessibility.
