Description
Overview
The EMCO 3810/2 (also known as a LISN or Line Impedance Stabilization Network) is a multi-line low-pass filter network used to stabilize line impedance during conducted emissions testing. It provides a 50 ohm RF connection and eliminates unwanted RF signals from the line supply while maintaining a safety ground through an Earth Line Choke. This device is designed and tested in accordance with IEC Publication 1010 and is suitable for FCC 15, VDE 0871, VDE 0875, and EN 55022 conformance measurements.
Key Features
- Frequency range: 9 kHz to 30 MHz (VDE 0876 specified curve ±20%)
- 50 ohm network impedance
- Network inductance options: 50 mH or 250 mH
- Maximum current rating: 10 amps
- Maximum AC voltage: 125 VAC at 60 Hz
- Earth Line Choke isolates EUT from RF ground while maintaining safety ground
- Input connector: IEC-320 type 3-wire inlet
- Output receptacle: NEMA standard
Applications
- Conducted emissions measurement for regulatory compliance testing
- FCC 15 and European (VDE, EN 55022) conformance measurements
- Diagnostic and pre-compliance electromagnetic emissions testing
- Equipment Under Test (EUT) characterization for radiated emissions prediction
