Description
Overview
The Fluke 5615-12-P is a platinum resistance thermometer (PRT) with an Inconel 600 sheath measuring 305 mm (12 in) in length and 6.35 mm (0.250 in) in diameter. It serves as a secondary reference temperature standard, bridging the gap between top-tier laboratory standards and industrial or secondary lab settings. The sensing element is made from reference-grade platinum wire (99.999% pure) for superior stability and provides accuracy of ±0.012°C at 0.01°C resolution.
The platinum wire is coiled and placed on a mandrel for uniform support that minimizes hysteresis. The four-wire current-potential electrical configuration eliminates lead-wire resistance effects. The Inconel-sheathed probe features a fully supported sensing element in an ultrahigh-purity ceramic case with hermetic glass seal, improving output stability by preventing moisture and contaminant infiltration.
