Temperature Indicators

Temperature indicators are precision readout instruments that display temperature values measured by connected probes or sensors — thermocouples, RTDs (Pt100/Pt1000), thermistors, or standard PRTs. They range from portable hand-held meters for field use to bench-top reference thermometer readouts for calibration laboratory work. High-accuracy models, often called reference thermometer readouts, accept interchangeable precision probes and serve as secondary reference standards in ISO/IEC 17025-accredited facilities.

Many temperature indicators feature multiple input channels, data logging, PC connectivity, and alarm outputs for both single-point measurements and multichannel process monitoring. Instruments such as the Fluke Calibration 1529 Chub-E4 and the Additel ADT282 provide sub-millikelvin resolution required for exacting calibration work. Simpler single-channel units from Control Company and Test Products International are used for routine quality control, environmental monitoring, and field verification.
