The OTU-8000 is a modular, rack-mounted Optical Test Unit that automates optical network monitoring using OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometry) and optical-switch technology. It provides continuous monitoring of multiple fibers anywhere in the network, with scalable architecture supporting up to 1080 ports. The platform integrates with VIAVI's ONMSi solution and SmartOTU to automate network performance monitoring.
