Description
Overview
The Bruel & Kjaer Type 4231 is a pocket-sized, battery-operated sound calibrator designed for quick and direct calibration of sound level meters and other sound measuring systems. It operates at 1000 Hz, the reference frequency for international standardized weighting networks, ensuring consistent calibration values across all weighting networks (A, B, C, D, and Linear).
The device uses a feedback arrangement with a specially developed condenser microphone to maintain highly stable sound pressure levels with minimal sensitivity to static pressure and temperature variations.
