Overview
The Bird 8860 is a self-contained, high-power 50 ohm RF load designed for testing and adjusting transmitters under non-radiating conditions. It requires no outside power source or additional equipment and provides accurate, dependable, and practically non-reflective termination. The load consists of a cylindrical resistor immersed in oil coolant, individually selected for accuracy and housed in a tapered enclosure that provides linear impedance reduction along its length.
