Overview
The Bird 8401 is a portable, self-contained 50-ohm coaxial transmission line termination for bench RF testing and transmitter adjustment. It requires no external power source and provides non-reflective termination from DC to 3 GHz using a cylindrical film-type resistor immersed in dielectric coolant, housed in a special tapered coaxial structure that ensures uniform impedance matching.
