The Bird 8201 is a portable, self-contained 50 ohm coaxial transmission line terminator designed for testing and adjusting transmitters under non-radiating conditions. It requires no external power source or additional equipment, using a cylindrical film resistor immersed in a dielectric coolant to provide uniform, reflectionless termination across its operating frequency range.
