Overview

The Keysight E8257D PSG (Precision Signal Generator) is an analog signal generator delivering metrology-grade performance with industry-leading output power, level accuracy, and phase noise up to 67 GHz. The high output power and superior level accuracy often eliminate the need for an external amplifier when testing high-power devices, allowing designers to minimize test uncertainty and identify errors early in the design process.

The world-class phase noise performance (typically -126 dBc/Hz @ 10 GHz carrier and 10 kHz offset) makes it ideal for local oscillator applications, low jitter clock substitution, and adjacent channel selectivity tests. The modular design supports optional AM, FM, phase, and pulse modulation to accurately characterize RF and microwave components.
