Overview

The Keysight B1500A is a comprehensive Semiconductor Device Analyzer designed for complete electrical characterization from basic research to advanced production testing. Its modular architecture supports up to ten measurement modules, allowing configuration for specific needs and upgrade capabilities as measurement requirements evolve.

Measurement Capabilities

• Current-voltage (IV) measurements: spot, sweep, sampling, and pulse modes with 0.1 fA to 1 A current range and 0.5 µV to 200 V voltage range
• AC capacitance measurements from 1 kHz to 5 MHz with Quasi-Static Capacitance-Voltage (QS-CV) capabilities
• Pulsed IV measurements with 5 ns minimum sampling interval (200 MSa/s sampling rate)
• High-voltage pulse forcing up to 40 V for non-volatile memory characterization

Software (EasyEXPERT group+)

The integrated characterization environment runs on the mainframe's embedded platform or on external PCs. Multiple operation modes—application tests, classic tests, tracer tests, quick tests, and oscilloscope view—provide flexible measurement setups. Automated analysis, graphical display, and data management features facilitate efficient device evaluation and reporting. Results export to Excel and image formats for analysis.
