Description
Overview
The Tektronix ADA400A is a high-gain differential preamplifier designed for direct oscilloscope measurements of very low amplitude voltages and signals that are not ground referenced. The high impedance of both inputs eliminates the need for additional ground points, avoiding circulating currents that disturb measurements. With extremely high common mode rejection and selectable bandwidth limiting, it provides usable measurements of voltages as low as 5 µV even in high-noise environments.
Key Features
- Selectable gain: 0.1X, 1X, 10X, or 100X
- 1 MHz bandwidth with selectable limits (100 Hz, 3 kHz, 100 kHz, Full)
- Common Mode Rejection Ratio: 100,000:1 DC to 10 kHz
- 10 µV/div sensitivity
- Input impedance: 1 MΩ parallel with 50 pF (selectable infinity impedance in 100X and 10X gains)
- Adjustable differential offset for null transducer bridge bias
- Noise typically 30 µV RMS at 100X gain
- Compatible with TekProbe BNC and TekConnect oscilloscopes
