Overview

The Tektronix DM 502A is a 3.5-digit digital multimeter module designed for the TM500 Series mainframe. This autoranging instrument measures six functions with convenient push-button operation: DC and AC voltage, DC and AC current, dB, and resistance. The DM 502A delivers 0.1% DC accuracy and superior overall accuracy for reliable measurements in laboratory and field applications.

The module provides true RMS measurements in all AC modes, ensuring greater accuracy with distorted, noisy, or non-sinusoidal waveforms. The hi-lo voltage mode (2V to 0.2V) allows in-circuit ohms measurements without turning on diode or transistor junctions, while the high-voltage mode tests semiconductor forward and reverse resistances.
