Overview

The Fluke 5520A is a high-performance multifunction calibrator designed for increased workload coverage and improved accuracy across nearly all measurement functions. It delivers the excellent stability, linearity, and low-noise performance required for calibrating precision test instruments and meets the exacting requirements of 5½ and 6½ digit multimeters. Each unit ships with test data and a certificate of traceability to nationally recognized standards.

Key Features

  • Lower output uncertainties to meet 5½ and 6½ digit multimeter requirements
  • Current output expanded to 20A; verify current clamps to 1000A with 5500A/COIL accessory
  • Phase lock simplifies three-phase power simulation and current summing
  • Pressure measurement with any of 27 Fluke 700 Series Pressure Modules covering 0-10 inches H2O to 0-10,000 PSI
  • Temperature measurement and recording of environmental conditions
  • Improved phase and frequency accuracy with external 10 MHz frequency standard support
  • IEEE-488 (GPIB) and RS-232 interfaces for automated testing and data management
  • Wide resistance range 0 to 1100 MΩ and capacitance range 0.19 nF to 110 mF
  • Thermocouple source and measurement (-250°C to +2316°C) with 11 types
  • RTD temperature sourcing (-200°C to +630°C) with 8 types
  • DC and AC power source and measurement capabilities up to 20.5 kW

Applications

  • Calibration of multimeters, power meters, and precision test instruments
  • Verification and calibration of current clamps and current transformers
  • Pressure gauge and transducer calibration
  • Thermocouple and RTD temperature sensor calibration
  • Frequency counter verification and calibration
  • Quality assurance and metrology laboratory operations
