Overview

The Wahl Instruments HSB50 Portable Blackbody is a high-accuracy calibration reference unit designed specifically for verification of infrared thermometers and thermal imaging cameras used in human skin temperature measurement. With exceptional accuracy of ±0.05°C at 37.0°C (98.6°F) and an emissivity of 0.98 matched to human skin, the HSB50 eliminates measurement offset at the critical body temperature point. Each unit is supplied with a NIST Certificate of Conformance confirming calibration accuracy at three critical measurement points when measuring human skin temperature.
