Overview

The Fluke 9173-E-156 is a high-performance dry block calibrator designed for thermometer calibration from 50°C to 700°C. This model includes Insert E, an aluminum-bronze insert with miscellaneous metric holes and a 0.25-inch reference hole, accommodating various probe diameters for precision calibration work. The display accuracy of ±0.25°C at 700°C, combined with exceptional stability and uniformity, dramatically reduces uncertainty budgets for high-temperature calibrations. The 203 mm (8 in) immersion depth is particularly suitable for calibrating thermometers at high temperatures.

The Model 9173-E-156 minimizes temperature gradients, loading effects, and hysteresis, providing meaningful calibration results. It utilizes traceable, accredited PRTs and Fluke's proprietary electronics for consistent, repeatable accuracy. The LCD display continuously shows block temperature, stability status, heating/cooling status, and current set-point. The unit is compatible with Fluke's Model 9938 MET/TEMP II software for fully automated calibrations of RTDs, thermocouples, and thermistors.
