Phillips

Phillips, associated with the Philips test and measurement instrument line, refers to the broadcast and video test equipment produced under the Philips brand by the Dutch multinational electronics company. Philips developed a wide range of electronic test instruments throughout the latter half of the 20th century, including video signal generators, oscilloscopes, and telecommunications testers. The PM-series instruments, such as the PM5518 video signal generator, were widely used in broadcast studios, telecommunications facilities, and electronics laboratories.

Philips eventually divested its test and measurement division, and many legacy Philips T&M instruments remain in active service across broadcast, research, and educational settings worldwide.
