Pendulum Instruments

Pendulum Instruments was a Swedish manufacturer of high-precision frequency counters, universal timer/counter/analyzers, and time interval measurement instruments. Based in Bromma, Sweden, the company built a strong reputation for the accuracy and stability of their timing measurement products, widely used in metrology, telecommunications synchronization, and R&D laboratories requiring sub-nanosecond time resolution.

The Pendulum CNT series of universal counter/timers became widely adopted in standards laboratories, telecommunications infrastructure testing, and scientific research. Their instruments supported measurements of frequency, period, time interval, phase, and pulse characteristics with high resolution and low uncertainty. Pendulum Instruments was subsequently acquired by Spectracom (now part of Orolia), with counter/timer product lines continuing under the combined portfolio.
